"Mate you should try and give it a go, nothing more satisfying than making and using your own blade. Plus its a lot cheaper too.  i see that M4 steel knives cost big $$$$$ to buy , you can make your own for less than $100..."

"Hi Dave here is another knife I made recently. Just my version of the Mora knife. Its made from a fully harden bar of M2 High Speed steel , ( chipper blade).. Its got good edge holding."

"Hi All here is my collection of knives. I made them all. Most all are L6 steel with the exception of an M4 Steel blade. I personally will carry a kukri and a smaller knife."

How to enjoy a Steak and Kumara dinner in the bush

Ok,



Anyone can rough it in the bush and TBH a lot of us will have tried Backcountry freezedry meals ( Roast lamb + Veggies is my favourite)..



But a trip out with some real food is nice once in a while so here is how to prepare a Steak and Kumara dinner.
