Hey Zeb, I worked for my Father years ago in his Tree felling company in Wellington. 90% of the time I used a bowline of some configuration, running, on a bite slip etc. Has to be my favourite of all time. I had a few occasions where we had to drop and hold some really big limbs and tree truck. The bowline Never jammed. It got tight a few times but always could undo after some effort. I also regularly used the clove hitch, truckers hitch and sheet bend.
