If you are around the Auckland region and would like to learn or share skills and experience with other Shrafters, this is your chance.

We will meet on the afternoon of Sat 17th July, stay over night, and break on Sunday afternoon

We will go with the flow but are likely to practice firecraft (bowdrill, building a small cooking fire), shelter construction, cooking, tracking and animal observation, and maybe even a bit of whittling around the campfire.

Suitable for any experience level, must have at least enough kit to at least stay warm and dry during the day and at night.

We will not be extremely isolated to minimise safety issues, I am in the process of obtaining land owners permission to use a pine forest in the Hunua Ranges.

We can organise carpools if necessary.
