"Scorpion on crackers, sounds interesting! In kenya we had flying ants that during one day of the year would swarm and drop their wings. The locals would fry them up they were quite yum, like peanut butter sort o flavour"

Hi Guys - does anyone know much about edible insects here in NZ? Edible Insects

I bought 50 mealworms from the pet shop [they are actually beetle larvae], & am breeding them as a food source in an icecream tub in my pantry..in a few weeks they will pupate, then hatch as beetles, reproduce, lay eggs [about 500 per female] with will pupate - at this stage they are edible...see more info at
