lake trip

Went on the trip I talked about. The other hard men chickened out! Me and a mate went, kayaked and fly camped in some wild country and had epic adventures. Made cool camps and cooked awesome food we had made up. Met some other folk in the most unlikely remote spots and shared a brew and tales with them.Kissed the beach when we got back through squalls, whirlwinds, and sleet.Thankfully didnt shoot anything but really enjoyed the challenge.  About to go on a trip to try some gear out. A mate and I have been putting/making some equip. to carry which will allow us to fly camp and hunt or carry in our kayaks. The parameters are that it must be foolproof, waterproof and simple. Were going to use hammocks but decided to "ground hog" it on mats, with a fly cover.. I have heavily waterproofed my fly as it may be the saving of my comfort.!Cooking is on a little stainless hobo type stove I made as I figured there is no future caryring gas…See More
