Wow, what a great concept for a site.  My main outdoor involvement is in recreational tramping, mostly around the Tararuas and Ruahines nearby to Wellington, but I occasionally get out further.  (I tend to write things up on my blog if you wanted a better idea.)

I'm a late starter and have only been at it for a relatively short time compared with many, about 4 years, and the bushcraft skills I've picked up in that time have been fairly ad-hoc and opportunistic.  It looks as if there's already heaps of good stuff here and I'll definitely be back.

Hi Mike nice to meet you! Just had a look at you blog it looks great. You have a RSS reader build into your "" if you wanted to set that up, I am sure that you know how.

Ad-hoc and opportunistic... sounds like my own experiences with bushcraft! Thats an alright way to be in my books =)

Speaking of books, if you want to pick up a few new skills and tips, join our BushcraftNZ Library and request "Ancient Skills", I highly recommend it.

Cheers!
Hi Ryan. Thanks for the tips.

Yes I've tried to set up the RSS reader. It keeps telling me "A problem occurred retrieving this RSS feed." I'm fairly sure I've copied/pasted the correct feed address, but I can't get any more info about the problem than that. I'm not too fussed.
I've had a look into it and it appears to be the feed format. I would suggest checking out feedburner its quick free and easy and you can generate these kinds of buttons to put on your blog to give people options. You may be missing out on other potential subscribers, you never know.

Just a thought!
