Our first big meet, the first of many that is!

This get together will be great for any experience level, so people new to bushcraft are definitely welcome. We will have more details shortly, but for now make sure to keep this weekend free as we would love to see you there. The plan so far:

9.30 Meet at Kaniwhaniwha reserve carpark so that we can walk into the camp area as a group.

We can then set up camp for the weekend and get a brew on. We will have some activity/tuition sessions running in the late morning and afternoon, when they are finalised we will let you know.

Saturday evening will be leisure time for us all to relax and get to know each other round the campfire.

On Sunday morning after a hearty breakfast we will run another session and maybe for those that wanted to (and subject to access being possible) we could have a short walk to Kaniwhaniwha Cave.

After Lunch on Sunday we can walk out together and say farewell from the carpark.

More details on what kit you will need coming soon, but at very least it needs to be sufficient for you to stay warm and dry overnight and during the two days, even if the weather turns foul. You will also need to bring your own food. Beginners should not feel that they need to go out and spend a whole lot of money right away, we can possibly share some kit around if need be.

We can also organise carpooling as well, no need for each of us to take a car.

Please RSVP to give us an idea of numbers, we dont want either members or the public to just turn up on the day, you must be a member of BushcraftNZ and RSVP to take part on the day. This means that we know numbers attending, contact details and experience levels and makes for a fun time for everyone!
