Thanks for the post Ian. I copied this to a Word Document and added it to the small collection I started last year. It's good to have recent examples of the survival situations people find themselves in in the NZ Wilderness. The circumstances or decisions that put them there are quite diverse and also the how they survived. Of the four survival records I have so far it is 50/50 for the ones that were prepared and knowledgeable and the ones that were unprepared and relyed on SAR to get to them before hypothermia did.
