Yeah I think that almost everyone would choose a bowline, it's a really handy and useful knot to be able to tie.

Interesting. I see that I tend to use different knots to many. A bowline, clove hitch and quick release Bug Out/Hootchie hitch ( I have no idea what its actual real name is lol). I think different backgrounds in bush experience influences the knots/hitches we choose even though the result or use is the same.

Yeah I considered those as well but you can make a kind of slip knot/noose with a bowline, just turn it into a running bowline. And it was a toss up between a reef knot or a prusik knot.

Bowline an easy #1, #2 Taut-Line Hitch, then #3 is prussic knot

Bowline, a square lashing (not sure if that counts), and probably a reef knot. You?

Thanks for the heads up! If you could choose only 3 knots to use with bushcraft, what would they be you recon
