Mapping Bushcraft Spots in Your Local Region

I found a cool feature of Google Maps that I have put to good use for our Auckland Group. You can create map that is unlisted (hidden to the public unless you have the URL address) that members can add to with the spots they have visited. Use this link to check the Auckland map out.

This is a great collaborative tool for for us to all share some great bushcraft locations on one map, and you can even write a short description to give people an idea of whats there. It would be great to have one for all the major regions, and the best place to have them in embedded on that areas Group page. Currently we have an Auckland and Christchurch group, with hopefully a Wellington one on its way.

Want to start one in your region? Let me know and I'll make it happen.

I couldn't embed the map into this post like I could in the Auckland Group page for some reason, but here's a screenshot that you can click on

Definately! Its one big collaboration for us all to share. Maybe you could add some of your Waitakere spots on there?

Excellent feature- can we all add to it over time?
