Tohunga Family tramp to Te Puia Lodge

Just found the photos from last Clarke family tramp in to the Kawekas. The grand plan was to tramp to the hut, drop the kit and continue onto the Mangatainoka Thermal Springs a further 45mins from the hut, but after the 2hr drive to the carpark and the 4hr tramp to the hut, the younger members of the family deceided enough was enough and anyway the hut was far more fun. Shrafter Waikato Bushcamp

Great weekend Ryan and John. Callum really enjoyed himself, and hasn't stopped talking about it all week. He keeps asking when we are all going next. He also asked if he could have a proper belt to attach "his" hunting knife to. Oh yeah, he also made me go to Bunnings and buy a folding wood saw, and a $15 orange knife, and made sure I got the same one as you guys, so cheers for that.
