Hi, i'm from the uk,i've been here for 5 years and love it,anyway after finally settling in,i brought a lifestyle block and i'm trying to find ways to make it work for me,so i sign up for a bee keeping course, yes i thought it would be boring and for old people, yes untill i researched about bees,as we know bushcraft is about self sufficency and living of nature, bees are that,so what do we get from them to help us,bee pollen(food, nutrient,)honey of course,(the only food that never goes off, great for putting on sting bites and for lip barm),royal jelly,(what the bees feed the queen bee, high protein and nutrients) and also bees wax( waterproofing and protection ),,and dont forget that they pollinate all the flowers and trees.,BEES ARE REALLY THE BEES KNEES

Bit tricky, I bought mine in the UK from a company called Trueways http://www.survival-school.org/ The knife was designed by Lofty Wiseman, SAS survial handbook, who is affiliated with the school. As far as I know the UK laws have prohibited the sale of them. Having said, that the instructor I went with has set up his own bushcraft school, http://www.wildernessessentials.co.uk/default.html and has produced his own Parang. It looks pretty good but have no direct experience with it, plus is pricey!
Try looking at http://www.valiantco.com/ they are Oz based and offer the original stuff directly from Indonesia. Cheers Colin
Cheers
