Your walks look like they would be fantastic, out of interest are you using gps or compasses for navigation? or is it you guys just know your way so well in the area that you do not need to. I am really keen on the idea of a course down in Fiordland as I think most of our South Island guys would be. I tried to get a couple of BBQ's going so we could meet and discuss places etc up here in Christchurch, but the shakes ruined the first one and I cancelled the second as I only had one person say they were coming and I was needed at a Scout weekend here in Christchurch. I really want to get meetings going in Canterbury and now that I am finally going back to Possum trapping fulltime, I may be able to.

Hi Ryan,Thanks for the link offer that would be great.We are basically a guided walks company that do it more "Bear Grylls Style ".We chopper or float plane into remote places and walk out using deer trails as opposed to man made ones.So no sign posts.That way the clients get the feeling they are the first people to place a foot print in the area,they don't stay in huts with 40 people (we camp) and get to see some wildlife onlong the way.We do have consents to do a few tracks ie the Hollyford too but stay in the DOC huts not the private lodges.We are at the stage where we are basically showing tourists a few bush kills,fauna and flora but are looking to diversify into running a few courses.Do you guys run workshops or have meets for members to share their skills with others?I would love to put one together for some members over a long weekend in Fiordland at cost if any one was keen.
