Hey guys how’s it going?
My name is Glenn and I’m from England.
I have a broad base of bushcraft knowledge and I’m keen to learn more. I visited both north and South Islands at the beginning of the year and I’m planning on returning at the end of February 2019 for a month or so. I have worked as an outdoor instructor for nearly 20 years and teach bushcraft and survival skills in the southwest of England. I’ve gained a lot of experience tramping around mountains and forests and this year I’ve started running coastal survival courses.
I could do with some tips for tramping around and lighting fires when I return in February. The rules and laws in the UK are very different. I hope I get to meet up with some of you too.

Hey Glenn,
Welcome to BCNZ! The DOC (Department of conservation) website has heaps of information on different tramps and tracks available throughout NZ.
This LINK should tell you all you need to know about lighting fires on DOC land. Hope this helps.
Feel free to share any of your knowledge and experiences!
Cheers
