Like your suggestions on Kit. Mora knives are the best "bush craft" knife for your money. Every one here has one.

I have done a few courses with Ray Mears Woodlore team the last one fire lighting covered a lot of fire by friction methods. No substitute for using native but there is heaps of invasive species that are available for fire by friction. You should be able to get fire from a bow drill with making everything from scratch within 20 mins if you are onto it.I will be running a few courses over summer feel free to come along.

Just done a bow making course and off to do an advanced survival course with Lofty Wisemans team at end of the week. Will put something up when I get back to NZ.
