I want to as well and sept and oct are good for me
I'd be keen Frank.
Any interest in me running a workshop on cordage? I've learnt quite a bit about this in the last couple of years and I'd be keen to both share what I know and learn from others as well.
I'm thinking that we might make a day of it on a weekend in September/October 2013. It would be good to have from 4 to 10 people because one of the things I'd like to do works best with 5 people.
The topics would be:
1) Materials that can (and can't) be used.
2) Chord, string, and rope making ( yes rope... ).
3) Types of cord - 2,3,4 strand spinning, platting and braiding.
4) Knots
That would make a full day, including some bush bashing and plenty of hands on practice because that is the only way to get proficient at this.
You can flick me a message or call me on the phone number above.
Cheers
Frank
Understandable mate, I have an operation in late July, so I am keen either prior to then or september onwards.
Horst, good to see you're still keen, it would be good if a few others get onboard, I'm keen either way.
That's great Aaron. I'm still keen to do this. I regard it as being a very worthwhile skill, but unfortunately I'm just flat tack for a while. However, when time becomes available I'd welcome the opportunity to spend some time with you.
I'll get in touch when I've got something a bit more certain.
Cheers
Frank
I am still keen :)
I realise that this event was meant to take place last year. I am keen to participate in a workshop in the Wellington area (I live on the Kapiti Coast, but am willing to travel)., if another date is sorted.
Cheers.
Hi Frank
Sorry to hear that this event didn't turn out as planned but I commend your effort. Hopefully there will be more interest in the future.
Cheers for your time and effort!
