Right lets give this another go, the last attempt was called off due to mother nature throwing a wobbley!
Lets try for a meet and greet again, open to anyone that can make it to my house. Still having shakes, and beginning to not notice them. So lets forget them and have some fun.
I now have a fulltime job for a while, so I wish to take advantage of not working weekends and try to get this going.
I am suggesting the month of June, will have it on a Saturday night. The Saturdays I have suggested is the 25th but we can change this if the majority prefer.
Several Scouts have talked to me about learning Wilderness Survival Skills etc, so I have some young blood coming up. They also want to have some weekends in the bush and give it a go, so others interested in this will get some nights out to show their skills and knowledge off.

Comment by Sean Rofe on May 31, 2011 at 14:48 Yeah, that's the bloke! Never got around to calling him but I am still interested in getting involved, Uni's going to be flat out for the next few weeks but should work out that I've finished this semesters exams by the time we have the get-together!
Cheers,
Sean.
Comment by Scott Hamilton on May 29, 2011 at 20:23 Yep, thats Alan. Thats the head of the scout troop I am in, we are also the most popular of all the scout troops at Halswell with about 36 Scouts.
Seems like we may be a bit more out going than other troops, not sure!

Comment by Sean Rofe on May 29, 2011 at 13:28 My mate's Dad (Murray Nidd, ring any bells?) told me to ring a guy(can't remember his name, said he worked at Halswell Timber yard or something...) but haven't got around to it yet.
Comment by Scott Hamilton on May 29, 2011 at 13:11 I have an 8 month old boy, so I get the wings clipped thing. But all ages welcome.
My Scout group is in Halswell, we are the second biggest group in NZ, so we love finding new leaders. You can ring me on 021 567 878 and I can give you the number of the guys to talk to.

Comment by Sean Rofe on May 28, 2011 at 19:02 Halswell! Perfect, I'm in Hillmorton and work in Halswell! Hahaha.
Work until 6pm on Saturdays, though but should be sweet to come around.
What Scout group are you with? I've been looking at getting involved in leading a scout group(Or helping lead one).
Cheers,
Sean.

Comment by Elaine Doherty on May 27, 2011 at 15:30 Hi Scott,
Thanks for the invite, I have a wee 7 month daughter so my wings are clipped for a while. Hope some time to come along to a meet with Eva too! Have a great time.
